DAY 2 – Lima


PM - Pick up from your hotel and join the tour.

Visit: ANCESTRAL LIMA: We start our tour with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid” a magnificent ceremonial and archeological center built in the 4th century a.D. and considered a “sacred village” by the Incas. 

COLONIAL LIMA: We visit the Historical Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and Colonial edifications, such as the Paseo de la República, the San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the City Council Palace amongst others.

We will visit the MUSEUM OF THE BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA*,where we will admire the “Treasures of Perú” Collection, a fine selection of objects made of gold, ceramics and textiles from different pre-columbian cultures.

We will visit the monumental SAN FRANCISCO CONVENT, which displays the largest collection of religious art in America. Our highlight will be the visit of the underground vaults, known as “Catacumbas” or Catacombs.

CONTEMPORARY LIMA: We will visit traditional residential areas of Lima, such as El Olivar of San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar

DAY 3 – Lima / Paracas


AM – Transportation from your hotel to the Bus station (20 minutes).

AM – VIP Bus from Lima (Javier Prado) to Paracas (3hrs 30min approx.), arrival and transfer to hotel. Free day

DAY 4 –Paracas / Nazca


AM – Visit Ballestas Islands

PM – Transfer to the Bus station. VIP Bus to Nazca (3hrs approx.), arrival and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 5 – Nazca / Arequipa


After breakfast transfer to the airport for a 30-minute flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines, enormous drawings of animals, birds, and geometric figures etched into the desert floor, which can only be truly appreciated from the air (the exactly time of your flight will be up to the weather conditions). Free afternoon.

At night we will take you to the bus station, board the VIP Bus to Arequipa (9 hrs approx.)

DAY 6 – Arequipa

Arrival to Arequipa and transfer to your hotel

In the afternoon, we take a guided tour of Arequipa, starting at the Plaza de Armas (the main square) and the Cathedral, a fine example of 19th Century Peruvian architecture, which houses precious artifacts of gold and silver.

We visit the “city within a city,” the Convent of Santa Catalina, with its vibrantly colored walls and courtyards that remained cloistered for centuries and was only opened to the public in the 1960s.

We also visit the Compañia Church, an old Jesuit complex, perhaps the most historically significant in Arequipa, with a beautiful church facade covered in columns carved into spirals, laurel wreaths, flowers and birds. Transfer back to your hotel.

DAY 7 – Arequipa / Colca


We will depart at 7:30 am from Arequipa, driving 160 km to the town of Chivay. At the beginning of our excursion we will enjoy the majestic views of the Misti, Chachani and PichuPichu volcanoes before approaching the National Reserve of “Pampa Cañahuas”, where our transportation will make a short stop to observe the wild Vicuñas in its natural habitat. At this point we will be about 3,400 meters above sea level. Moving on we will arrive to “Pata Wasi”, an Andean community at the opposite border of the reserve.

Here you might enjoy the natural formation of rocks and the view to the backside of the Misti and Chachani volcanoes. To prevent altitude sickness we will have an original Andean “Mate de Coca” drink or another hot drink in a rustic restaurant on the road (service of bathrooms are here available). Continuing on the road we will pass “Tocra”, a high plain at more than 4,500 meters, where we will observe lakes with migrant birds and get pictures of the “Antiplano” with its Llamas and Guanacos. The highest point of our tour will be “Pata Pampa” located at 4,820 meters, where we’ll observe the volcanoes Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca-Hualca, Mismi (the source of the Amazon River), and the “Cordillera de Chila”. When we are getting close to the town of Chivay (3,651 meters) we will start to wonder at the spectacular multicolor view of the terraces of the Colca valley.

We keep our drive until Coporaque town and visit the Lodge La Casa de Mamayacchi, where we will have our lunch. After lunch your guide will invite you to a short walk through Coporaque and its surroundings (this walk takes around 1 hour and is optional)

We’ll come back to our transportation and visit a natural “hot springs” , where we will enjoy a relaxing bath (entrance fee and personal towels to the baths are not included).

After this exciting day we will bring you to your hotel.

Overnight in Colca

DAY 8 – Colca / Puno


We’ll have our breakfast very early in the morning and leave to the famous “Cruz del Condor” point. Arrive to to view point and time enough to have an enjoyable view of the deep of the Canyon and if the weather permits; majestic pictures of the flight of the Condors.

After a coordinated time, our guide will take you for a short walk near the Canyon (1 hour aprox.) On the way back to Chivay we’re going to visit the traditional village of Pinchollo and the “Antahuilque viewpoint”, where wonderful 1,500 year old terraces, constructed by the Collaguas, a culture well before the Incas’ time, can be observed. We also will make a stop at the look-out point of “Choquetico” with its hanging tombs “Tumbas colgantes“, and take a look to the litomaqueta, a model of the canyon terraces carved in a rock. We will continue visiting Maca, an Andean community that experienced an earthquake in November of 1991 and the village of Yanque with the most beautiful church in the valley.

Lunch in Chivay town (Cost of Lunch is not included in program). Then transfer to Puno (5hrs approx.).

Overnight in Puno

DAY 9 – Puno / Islands


8:00 am. You will be picked up from your hotel and then transferred to the pier and take the motor boat towards the Uros Floating Islands. Arriving we walk on the reed islands and interact with the natives.

Continue our journey towards “Amantani Island”, where we will spend the rest of the day and the night. Upon arrival, a group of native families will meet us at the pier, and take us to their homes for lodging.

In the afternoon we will walk up to the highest point of the Islands to explore ancient ruins called by locals Pachatata. There are stunning views of the Lake from this lookout point and an amazing sunset.

Soon after nightfall, we descend to the main plaza and meet our local family, and we go back to home for dinner. (Mind the head when entering, their doorways),

By night visitors are invited to a particular local party. The party takes place at the main folklore saloon and it is accompanied by one of the local orchestras.

DAY 10 – Islands / Puno


08:00hrs. after breakfast, we walk down to the harbor to take the boat towards “Taquile Island” (1 hour trip aprox.), Taquile is a traditional Quechua speaking community, and full of ancient agricultural terraces. The weaving tradition is part of the culture and goes back to early civilizations; all weaving is done by hand.

Arriving to the island, we have to walk up along a narrow path, enjoying on the way impressive views of the Lake titicaca.

At the village, there is free time to explore around on your own, your lunch is included. Later we walk down to the pier to take our motor boat back to Puno.

We will arrive to Puno at 4:00pm. aprox. and you will be transferred back to your hotel in Puno

DAY 11 – Puno / Cusco


At 06:30AM transfer to the Bus station. VIP Bus to Cusco. During the journey we pass the Lake of Wacarpay, offering spectacular views of snowcapped mountains reflected in its tranquil waters. Near the lake we visit the Pre-Inca citadel of Pikillacta, Quechua for “City of the Thumbs”, one of the most impressive sites built by the Wari culture, consisting of more than 700 structures, with walls almost 12 meters high. We continue to the picturesque town of Andahuaylillas, where we visit the temple of Saint Peter of Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, for its rich colonial artworks and painted murals that cover the walls, arches, entrance ways and ceilings. Further on we stop at Archí, where we visit the spectacular Inca sanctuary built by the Inca Pachacútec, dedicated to the great Inca god Wiracocha. It has a grand central wall made of stone, with other walls built with adobe bricks. Around the temple you’ll find a multitude of ancient buildings that were used as houses or storerooms. About 70 kilometers, or 43 miles, later we pass through the Ranch of La Raya, where we can spot herds of vicuñas and llamas.We then travel along the Collao plateau, stopping at the town of Ayaviri an important cattle and textile center, where we visit the temple of Kalasaya, belonging to the ancient Pucara culture. We stop for a buffet lunch in a rustic rural setting where we can sample the culinary delights of the region

DAY 12 – Cusco


In the afternoon we start to explore the city of Cusco on a tour, in which your private guide will explain the history and significance of our Inca culture and vast changes that took place with the Spanish Conquest. You will visit the main plaza, the Cathedral, and the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha. We then visit the ruins on the outskirts of the city, stopping at the Inca ritual site of Quenqo, the water temple of Tambomachay, the customs house of Puca Pucara and the impressive temple fortress of Saqsaywaman, built strategically on the hill above city of Cusco. It’s famous for its enormous stone blocks, assembled with incredible precision to form the imposing external walls of the complex. Some of the stones stand 9 meters tall and weigh more than 350 tons. We then return you to your hotel.

DAY 13 – Cusco / Sacred Valley / MachuPicchu


At 8:00am approx. we will pick you up to join the group, visit the famous Andean market town of Pisac, then visit the Urubamba Valley, Buffet lunch is included. After lunch we will continue our journey and visit Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to the Valley and protect the Empire from possible invasions by the people of the jungle. Time for you to visit the town by yourself (2hrs approx.), then walk to the train station and board you train to MachuPicchu (tourist class train). Arrival and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 14 –MachuPicchu / Cusco


(07:00AM) Our guide will take you to the bus station, board the bus up to the mountain, arrival to the citadel and get into the Archaeological site. The excursion includes a tour guide of the citadel, visiting the main plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sundial, the royal quarters and the Temple of the Three Windows. You also have some free time to walk around the complex at your own pace.

Afternoon, board train to Poroy train station (First Class Train), where you will transfer to the waiting bus back to Cusco and your hotel.

DAY 15 – Cusco
